A seasoned veteran behind the scenes, Cookie Dough’s over-the-top personality and wild antics on stage and screen has made her an overnight sensation 16 years in the making! In the spring of 2002, the ambitious entertainer launched “Cookie...After Dark.” Featuring some of the Bay Area's best talent, the live cabaret act continues to pack Martuni's eight years later. Her show is built on her reputation as a stage performer. In August 2004, “The Monster Show with Cookie Dough & DJ MC2” was launched in the heart of the Castro, winning Best Drag Act – Best of the Bay 2006. For the past four years, Cookie has co-produced The SF Golden Girls, hilariously playing the sharp tongued Sophia Petrillo to sold-out audiences. On Wednesdays, you can find Cookie at The Lookout as Host of Mary Go Round, a weekly drag show. From providing guest vocals for the world's only mash-up band, Smash-Up Derby, she also plans to form her own rock group; Cookie keeps all her options open. Whether through fundraisers for a wide array of local organizations or non-stop professional gigs, Cookie plans to remain on the stage for a long time to come.
Suppositori Spelling is the internationally prominent San Francisco personality, consistently raising (and intentionally lowering) the bar for the alternative drag scene since 1997. Since her crowning of Ms. Trannyshack 2002, some of her many career highs include performances at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival (Scotland, in 2007) and Glastonbury Festival (England, in 2007 and 2009); a starring role as Jeremy Starr in the feature film "The Rise And Fall Of Jeremy Starr"; and, MC’ing at Folsom Street Fair in 2008, 2009, and looking forward to returning this year. Suppositori's inception, production and weekly hosting of the annoyingly popular Cocktailgate has been putting a spell on her audiences at Truck each Sunday since 2007, procuring SF Weekly’s Readers’ Poll awards: Best New Drag Show (2008) and Best Drag Show (2010). |
