Ted Eiel is one of the brightest talents on the DJ scene today. With over 15 years of club and radio experience, Ted has spun his supersonic sets of sexy, dirty beats at top-tier venues in the US, Canada and Europe. In the past 6 years, he's headlined some of the biggest leather and bear parties in the US: Magnitude @ Folsom Street Fair, Bear Week (Provincetown), Bearracuda (SF, LA and Vancouver), Lazy Bear Weekend, Meat Rack (LA), Northern Xposure (Seattle) and Ascension (Fire Island). Ted's also spun internationally playing both Megawoof! and Tonker in the UK and headlined Madrid Pride in Spain. His 2009 closing party for IML, The Black & Blue Ball was voted one of the best events of the decade in Chicago and he was asked back to headline Winter Party's 2010 Leather Ball. 2011 was no different with Ted returning to IML's Black and Blue Ball, Bear Week in Provincetown and the final party for Seattle's famous Seven Deadly Sins party.
For 2012, he'll get more international exposure with gigs in Sydney and Vancouver along with his residencies at Bear Week, San Francisco's Sanctuary and Chicago's quarterly Manhole parties at Hydrate.
Ted has an aggressive, masculine sound that has been inspired by underground tracks drawn from classic house, electro, disco, and rock. His music can be described as "muscle house" for men; sexy, funky, chunky house with an emphasis on dirty bass lines, melodic vocals and an intense energy that brings everyone to the floor.
"I am the darkest sound. I am the tribal spirit behind the speakers. I am the underground sound. I am Jack Chang."
Since 2003 Jack has become renowned in the global dance world with his unique blend of Latin/Asian underground house. In 2003 his debut in the US at Palm Springs for the Hustlaball Pool Party was a thrilling success, and his European debut in Germany at Folsom Europe's first ever closing party, PiG Berlin, attracted over 1400 men. Later that year Berlin saw Jack's return for Hustlaball at the infamous KitKat Club. The European circuit quickly took up interest and soon followed his appearance at the renowned Project-X party in Berlin in 2004.
Jack's success is not due to a single sound - his rhythmic, hypnotic sounds have been adapted to a more vocal, uplifting sound for mainstream events such as the Loveball in Barcelona and Greenkomm in Cologne, but his real success has been keeping the crowds at the biggest fetish events in Europe thrilled with his dark tribal beats. His clockwork mixing technique has both delighted and thrilled dance addicts and the fetish crowd, and also drawn both admiration and envy from fellow DJs around the world.
The latest highlights for him recently include headlining The Dome at Sydney Mardi Gras, Playgrounds in Amsterdam, with continued appearances at his residency in Rapido, also in Amsterdam. Jack has both the honour and pleasure of working with Folsom Europe once again to headline PiG Berlin - the biggest European men-only party!
